Lost and Found

lost dog

What to do if you lose your dog or cat

• Dogs found straying without an identity disc/collar or microchip will be lifted by the local dog warden and taken to the pound. They will generally be kept for five days so make sure you inform the warden straight away if your dog is missing. Stay in touch every day to check if your dog has been picked up. Please contact us for the details of the Dog Warden.

• Inform your local Garda Station giving them a detailed description of your dog or cat, when & where he/she went missing.

• Check with your local SPCA & Veterinary Surgeries also.

• Contact Midland 103 Radio Station. They will read out a description of your pet with contact details on their lost & found section aired daily at 6.20pm. You can phone them on 057 9351333.

• Put posters up with picture of your pet plus contact details in your local shop & vets.

You can also see our gallery for pictures of animals found and in need of a home. Perhaps your lost pet is in there?

Note
Having your dog or cat microchipped or placing an ID tag on their collar can help you find a lost pet quickly and easily!
