Guinea Pig Care

 

A guinea pig needs
• To be with other guinea pigs
• Fresh food and fresh clean water every day and something to gnaw on
• A big hutch to live in, with a room for sleeping
• A home to be kept clean and tidy
• To be brushed every day if it has long hair
• Soft straw and wood shavings for beddings
• A mixture of hay, cereal and washed fruit and fresh vegetables
• A hutch to be kept somewhere inside when it is cold, and in the shade when it is hot and sunny
• To be looked after at holiday times
• To be handled with care
